Long time no post...

Hi peeps! Long time no post... Reason? I am "busy" these days. Yes. "Busy". So today, decided to blog.

17/05

Today, Melvin, Tang Jie, Jia Chen and I,went to Poi Ching Primary School for the story telling competition. And Mr Teo was the teacher in charged. If I am not wrong, there are only 20 schools or I should say groups in this competition. So the chances of winning is very high. However we did not win. But I think that is a very good experience for four of us...
I noticed that most of the participant, when they were up stage, their voice or tone were like very high. I feel that our story is very different from other schools. The narator(pang bai) is everyone read together. Which ours was not. I feel that the tune of our story is more of a singaporean tune. And for them, I feel that it is more chinese tune.

And for the results, 1st was Nan Hua, 2nd I have forgotten and 3rd was Poi Ching. Personally, I feel that this competition was not very fair as some schools participated twice. For some, even thrice. So their chances of winning is very very high.
Before and after the competition, the five of us walk around the school to "can guan".

wow! they have vending maching which sells fruit!

Look at their book shop...

Is this a real tree?

Shu Qing Shu

Some good quotes are found at almost every corner of the school...

18/05
12 years ago, on this particular date, I was born! Same for Farah. Same date but different timing. As for Tammie, she was born 2 years before I was. So it was same date but different year. 3 in a row! That is so cool. Last year, I have found another friend who has the same birthdate as me! OMG! But I lost contact with her.

Today, AstroSiaoChaotaSantaClause, AstroSiaoGinna and me went to celebrate my birthday. Firstly, when we reach Tampines Mall(TM), we immediately dash up to Golden Village(GV) to buy some tickets. We were hoping that the queue was very long as by the time we manage to buy the tickets, it would be very late. However, it was not as long as what we have expected. It was so damn short. We did not even have to queue. There was no people buying at all.
Next, we went "next door", Century Square, to take neo print(again). We went to the 5th floor and found no neo print shop. So we went up and down and up and down just to find that particular shop, which has moved to other places.

Sad story. No neos to take, what are we suppose to do? We spend the 1hour and 20 minutes going to Toy"R"us (not sure of the spelling) and play basketball. It was like so lame. We were restricted to the area. What we can do was to dribble and dribble and dribble. Then, there is one guy from the shop told us that we were not supposed to play or dribble it. We did not really care and continued dribbling at another corner. Feeling as bored as before, we decided to go popular. We end up also doing nothing but just walking around.

Soon, it was 4.20 pm and the show had started and we had settled down, waiting for the show to start. We bought popcorn, nachos and drinks. We watch "Drillbit Taylor". Personally, I think this show is quite funny and nice. And throughout the whole movie, I could hear laughter almost every 10 minutes. I wonder how the director manage to create such a funny movie.

We then went home after the show. Overall, I think that it could be so much well spent if we can take neos and stuff.

Now, lets take a look at the present that I have received from my friends...

Catherine gave me a book.
Yu Ting gave me a pencil case.
Tammie gave me a diary book.
Farah gave me a rubic cube.
Hong Hui gave me a keychain.
Vanessa gave me a notebook, pencil, colour pencil and a keychain.
6A sang me a Happy Birthday song!

THANKS FOR ALL THE PRESENT!!!

Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TAMMIE, FARAH AND ME!!!

19/05

Today, some people went to China, ShanDong, for exchange programme. Wish them a safety and pleasant trip over there!

20/05

Today, it was Darryl's Birthday! Happy Birthday!(although it was a late one) And the whole class sang Happy Birthday song for him, Farah and me. I was quite "paisei".

Oh yes. Found out that this month, the birthdate of all the "May Babies" are so close.

Nicholas Ng: 15/05
Farah and I: 18/05
Darryl: 20/05
Yue Ying: 23/05

Wow.

21/05 and 22/05

Some "political stuff" had happened. Don't really want to talk about it.

But, I would like to talk about our NAPFA test. This time, I had to take retest. Why? It was all because of a stupid standing broad jump. I don't know why I just could not jump that far. The rest of the items are quite good, except for 1 or 2.

Sit-up: 19 (I have no energy to do more. Have to train during the holidays)
Standing broad jump: 120cm (I just could not jump)
Sit and Reach: 35cm (my best record! Yipee!)
Incline pull-up: 25
Shuttle Run: 12.01

If I can jump further, I will not be taking retest. And I could have get a Bronze. I think so. I have been getting Bronze ever since Primary 4. Hoping to get a Silver this time round. I am trying, =]

And yes, 1.6km run/walk. For the first round, I was running and jogging. Eunice and I decided to run together. However, when we were running the second round, I felt that my stomach started to ache. Eunice had this problem too. So we decided to walk half round, jog half round. In the end, I got 28.

I was sweating like mad after the running. So damn exhausted. I think I could have gotten maybe 20-25 if I had run faster. I do not have good stamina and I always do not execise. Haha. That's the consequences of not exercising.

23/05

I woke up early in the morning and prepared to visit the dentist, just to have my tooth fixed.
(nothing much had happened today...)

It pull me down...

Oh... Science. It just pulled me down. Having scored so high for other subject, I was so happy but outcame the science results. Oh gosh! Can't believe it! I could have scored better! If I have not been careless, I could have scored 84 or even more!!! I was so happy yesterday, thinking I have a high chance of getting top 5, provided if my english and science is high enough. When I receive my paper, I was shocked. It was the lowest marks I have ever gotten!

Am I sad? Maybe yes at first but I manage to get into my happy mood. As what I have said yesterday, marks is not that important. What is important is whether you have learnt your mistakes. But anyway, I am still quite angry.

Can't believe it!

English: 80/95
Maths: 82/100
Chinese: 93/100
Science: ?/100
Hmt: 76/100

I just cannot believe that I have scored so well. English, Maths, Chinese. However, my HMT was not that good, but I still manage to get Merit. As for Science, still waiting for the results(don't think its good...)

I am so happy to know that I just gotten an A*! Nice! The feeling is great! Days before, I thought that there was no chance for me to get A*! I am so so so so happy! But... Will I still get A* for my Prelims and PSLE? Anyway, I think its luck... Or maybe not. Hope it is my ability, so that I can score A* for Prelims and PSLE.

For English, I was so damn shock. Never expect that I can get 80! I guess it was my comprehension and Booklet B that helped me. Usually, My Booklet A would be average and my Booklet B is terrible. Can't believe that I can score so high! Is that a dream? Have not know my compo, oral, listening and total marks. Hey, there is an A* scorer in our class! Call that person a PRO. Will that person be me? Haha. I am hoping. :] Anyway, it is good to have almost the whole class scoring an A.

Oh... Why can't I get another 1/2 more mark for HMT? I scored 47.5! Just need to have another 1/2 mark to get 48(Distinction). But still must count the compo marks. The feeling is angry and sad. Just another 1/2 marks!!! Who to blame? ME. I could have scored another 1/2 mark at comprehension! I should have answer "wo ren wei" instead of "yin wei"! ARGH!!! So disappointed. I scored so badly for compo... In fact everyone(except some pro) manage to score 30+. Some even fail...

For Maths, I don't know should I be disappointed or happy. Many people are scoring 70+ and I scored 80+. Careless mistake everywhere... Lost about 5 marks! But the problem is that I don't think I have enough time to check. But I am quite happy that my Maths actually improved! From 76, I manage to score 82 this time! Although it did not reach my target, but I still quite happy. Hope I can improve or maintain. :]

I don't have confident in scoring well. I had already score 52 for Booklet A. All careless mistake. For Booklet B, I think I will score even worst. Will I still be the highest for Science? Hoping, hoping... But I don't think so. Well, we will know the results tomorrow...

Is exams all about winning? No. We take exams is to test if we understand a certain subject or topic. And when we compare our marks, there will be competition. This will let us improve and we will then do better. However, for some people, when they get their marks, they will feel upset. I think that this feeling should not be long.

We do make mistakes sometimes. But what is important is if you have learnt your mistake and not doing it again. It is silly to repeat the same mistake again and again. Then what is the point of taking exams? Another thing : Careless mistakes. Some students claim that they have check, but they still make careless mistakes. We can check 99 times (without opening our big eyes), but we just need 1 stupid careless virus to "kill" us. The careless virus can "attack" 99 times, but they just need 1 chance to "kill" us.

title: Good bye A*
date: 08 May 2008

Good bye A*

I have done very badly for SA1. Yes. Very badly.

English: Already lost about 7marks for Booklet A. As for Booklet B, heard from mc that we had scored very badly for synthesis and comprehension. It is hopeless. Maybe 60+?

Mathematics: Heard from people that the highest for our class is 97. WOW! I think that it is difficult. Did not do 1 question. Die. Hope that I will score at least 80. But i think it is somehow impossible.

Chinese: Heard that many people had "li ti"(go out of point). Did I? I hope not. Chinese is one of my best subject.(for sometimes) Hope this can pull my marks up. If I am not wrong, I also heard that there are only 2 A*...

Science: Lost 8 marks for Booklet A. Sad. Don't think I have gotten 52 before. Booklet B, hopeless. Think I fared badly too. Most of the questions I do not know. Especially on the explanation part. Tried doing TCK for the more difficult ones. But I could not figure out what was the topic. Will I at least get 80 this time?

HMT: Once again, almost everyone had "li ti". As for the paper, we did not fare well too.

Whatever it is, I know that this time, I will not score well.

Is it the paper that is too difficult or is it because I did not study well?

Yes, I agree that the paper is difficult. But why are there people who can get A* and full marks for Booklet A.

Or is it LUCK?

I wonder why. When I had studied for science, I scored quite badly. However, when I did not study(as in just flipping the papers), I can score high. In fact, this has happened to me 2 times. P5 CA2, I did not really study, and I scored 94. P5 SA2, I decided to study hard for my science, thinking that I would do even better. However, the result was 85. P6 CA1, I only flipped through the science papers. In the end, I got 88.5! This time, I studied for science. I had a feeling that I will not do well.

If I am already doing so badly for SA1, how about prelims and PSLE? Will I even fared better? Now, I am just hoping for a miracle to happen...

title: Missing CO
date: 02 May 2008

Missing CO!!!

It has been 1 month after the SYF. And I am missing CO!!! I have a feeling like something is gone... Before the SYF, I will be staying back in school every thursday and friday. Sometimes, I even had to go back to school on saturday, just to prepare for the SYF. Now, I am free on thursday. It's like a big change. Haha. I have learnt to adapt. But I am still missing it.

Today, I went to ask Mr Seah when will we have CO. He said that they are having a meeting to discuss if we will still continue to have CO.

Sad to say that there will only be approximately 13 peoples(all are the p4s) if all the p5s and p6s have left. Sad case. That means that we cannnot participate in the SYF anymore! Sob...

Now, CO has become part of my life. I really miss CO. Miss my instument, miss the air-con room, miss the score, miss the song, miss everything that has to do with CO. Every now and then, I would find myself singing either Meng Cai or Yue Yun Chu Zheng(usually Meng Cai). Really miss the song so much. Meng Cai is so nice. Its like a dream and then don't know what happen... Anyway, its really very nice. Very dreamy... And for Yue Yun Chu Zheng, I find it so... I would say its so... I don't really know how to describe. Like it with the big drum.

I really missing it that I would find myself doing strange things. Yesterday, I was "revising"(just flipping through the text book) my science. And I don't know what the hell am I doing. I took my pen and started like conducting and I started singing the 2 songs. I was like singing while revising while conducting. Pro seh(Haha! multi-tasking)! And I really felt like I am the conductor, flipping the book(in this scenario, it acts like a score), taking the pen and started conducting. Find it so silly and stupid. Ok, the truth is that I really miss CO.

And everytime in class(even when the teacher is teaching), if you were always looking at me, you can see that I am like using my fingers and so called hitting the table. Something like playing the piano. Actually, I am playing the 2 songs. It's the fingering. And you would also see my feet tapping. It is to give me the beat. When I am playing my LiuQin, I would also tap my feet. Haha, I'm used to it.

Whatever it is, I am really missing CO! Please! Let us go back CO!
