title: A new hair cut.
date: 30 December 2008

A new hair cut.

Lala. It has been 1 day, 23 hours to be exact. I have already used to my new hair style. Its short. Real short I would say. But not as short as botak. xD I am still not used to it yesterday but now, should be ok. Keep looking in to the mirror yesterday. Haha.

Anyway, went to MOELC today. The one at Bishan to register for that third language thing. Parents and I went to buy books first, cos we didn't know the order. So we see what do what.

One of the books was out of stock. Wah, so fast. It was about 8-9 when I bought them.

Then we saw the so called notice that we need go Rm 01-106 for registration and stuff. Get the queue number from the person sitting outside the room. There was a list of the class posted up. I was finding my name and stuff. Suddenly, I saw.. WEI KANG. I was like.. O.O Few minutes later, I saw Melvin. O.O

Ahaha. My parents thought Melvin was WeiKang's brother. Hehe. Wait a minute, do they look alike? o.O

Lalala. While waiting in the room, my mum look through the books. Wah, I don't understand a single thing. Have to keep flipping here and there to know how pronounce. Faints.

After all the registrations and stuff, went to Junction8. Saw both Melvin and WeiKang again. But they didn't saw me. Haha. We were somehow lost when we wanted to leave. Can't find the escalator and travellator to carpark.

Then later went to the big Giant at Tampinese there. Bought quite alot of things as compared to Juction8. Woah. Spend around 60+ there.

Lalala. Went back home after doing all the shopping.

I suppose that's all for today. Bye.

And there is 2 days and 1 seconds left to 2009! Heared the news that there will be 1 more second to 2009. o.O

Bye peoples.

title: Secondary School..
date: 25 December 2008

Secondary School..

Gosh. My blog is like.. After today, my blog will be dead for 1 month. So, I have decided to rescue it by posting something.

And yes, Merry Christmas to all! Hope you guys have a great and fun Christmas this year. Too bad is that the red fat man didn't find me. I stayed awake to wait for him. Haha. Jkjk. I suppose many of us will receive this sms:

"If a fat man in red comes into your room in the middle of the night and shoves you into a bag, don't be scared coz I told Santa I wanted a friend like you for Christmas..."

And of course, you are suppose to send to people who you care. Anyway, I found this quite interesting. It said that a friend of yours wanted you for Christmas. And so, Santa sneak into your house, through the chimney(I wonder where is it). Haha. And thanks to those people who sent me this. You are special too. :D

Ok. Back to the main topic. Just for your info, I was posted to Dunman High(DHS). It was my first choice. I was feeling sad instead of happy that no one went there with me. So on 19/12/08, I was kind of in a bad mood.

Lets talk about 18 before we move on to 19. I keyed in my hp number instead of my parents when filling in the s1 posting form in the internet. Reason being that I wanted to know the results first before they do. Eventually, they will send that sms to me.

So on 18 of December, that sms was sent to me. Gosh. It was like.. so early in the morning. 6.36am early in the morning. But the ring tone was very soft. So it didn't woke me up. But I was muttering: "Wah. Crazy seh. Send sms so early."

I wasn't surprise nor excited to know that I was posted to DHS. After all, it wasn't my real dream school. I mean, it was Nanyang Girls, followed by Dunman High. But anyway, it was like.. somehow expected?

The day before 18, I was still worried that what if I am posted to my 2nd choice-Chung Cheng High Main School(CCHMS). I am afraid that the Cut Off Point of Dunman High might went up. Because I got exactly the Cut Off for my PSLE aggregate.

But upon thinking, if I got into CCHMS, it isn't that bad after all. Many Changkateers went there. And at least I've got ppl whom I know. So much better than being the ONLY Changkateer in DHS.

As for 19, I woke up early in the morning. 6+ I think. It was like a going-back-to-primary-school feeling. Did everything like before. Tie my hair, wear my school uniform and stuff. The whole process was like what I always did last time.

Reach DHS with my parents at about 8.10am, around there. Great thing is that we didn't have to travel to the one at Buona Vista. And yes, I have realise that it isn't that bad after all in DHS. It had shifted back to Tanjong Rhu. So, its a new campus! Everything is new! Tables, chairs, classrooms, etc.

I had realised that there are more girls than boys in DHS, unlike in CKPS. There is about 250+ girls, while boys only have 150+. This shows that girls are smarter than boys! Hehe.

Well, I will be in 1H next year. Upon knowing it, I was thinking if I were in the last class. It looks like the last class; it sounds like the last class. Hello, H. H for Hippo. From A to H, this is like crazy. But I was relieved after knowing that 1L will be the last class. Woah, L. L for Lalala.

Entered the hall and settled down while waiting for everything to start. While waiting, we filled up some forms that they have given us earlier. One of the form is about your particulars and your PSLE results. As I looked around, I saw the results and stuff of some other pupil. And I was like, OMG. I saw around 5-7 results. And out of these 5-7, none got lower than me! Not even same score. This is crazy. 262, 263, 265, 267... Gosh. Any 260? 259? 258?

It was only then I started to realise being in DHS is different from being in CKPS. In CKPS, only the top class are competitive. But in DHS, the whole level is competitive. I am afraid I wouldn't do well there. Even if I have done well, there are bound to be other student who will be better, way better than me.

Upon having this thought, I began to feel alittle regret of wishing I could enter NGH. If even before I enter DHS, I already have such a feeling of being the last, what about in NGH. Isn't it worse.

But of course, if I work harder, and I have given my best, I will be contented with my results. At least I know I have put in hard work. At least I know that I have tried. However, I must make sure I will be better the next time.

I found out that there are many students from SHK studying at DHS next year. Gosh. Seriously, I don't really like them. They are... kind of.. stuckup and action in some ways. Hais. Hope I won't feel this next year. Maybe, I should even make friends with them. ...

And so, everything started at around 8.30+. Hear the Principal, Mr Sng, talk. Blah and stuff. He introduce those head, blah and stuff. After the whole of introduction of the teachers, I still don't know who are they. -.- But one thing I know, most of them are very young. One of the Vice-Principal is only 38. It was like.. Woah..

It's kind of good to be in DHS. The reporting time is 8. Gosh. This is sooooo good. And from idk what week onwards, the repoting time for Monday is 9! 9! This is getting crazy. The reason for such a later reporting time on Monday is that: Due to DHS is an IP program school, there is the Junior High(Sec 1-4) and Senior High(Sec 5-6). So in order to have all the teachers to be able to be together for a meeting, they have made it in the morning. And it's just so great.

We are suppose to wear the tie on every Monday. I am not very sure of the reason. But maybe, is like.. start of the week or something. And I am so proud of myself to be able to tie the tie myself! Yippee. Haha. Felt some sense of achievement. Hehe.

So after all the talking and stuff, we can go to the classroom(not our future one) and buy all our stuff. We were not very sure of where to go. All we did is just to follow the crowd. So unknowingly, we went to the uniform stall. It wasn't very queue long as we were the first few customers.

Due to "kiasu-ness", we bought 4 sets of uniforms. The uniforms cost around 110+. Just for you info, the blouse is white and the skirt is dark blue. Looks like the uniform in Temasek. As for the buttons, they are metal. But the strange thing is that the buttons are sold seperately. And you can't buy it at the uniform stall. There are available in the bookshop. Strange isn't it. The buttons are suppose to go with your uniform. And you are to buy them seperately, in two different places.

The buttons are bigger than the normal type. I think 2 times bigger? And there is a Dunman High logo on it. The buttons can be taken out and put back into place. So it's kind of cool. But one thing I dislike about the buttons is that it is very troublesome. When you put them into place, you have to screw it with something like a keychain thing. And when you take them out, you have to unscrew them. Its very very very troublesome(mafan). You can't leave them on the uniform as the screw thing will rust easily, making the white uniform into... brown?

Heard from one parent that CCHMS also have metal buttons. Interesting. I wonder if its as equally troublesome as mine.

Then went to the classroom, to submit some forms and stuff. I wonder if that woman sitting on the teachers table there is my form teacher. Submit forms, ask questions, blahblah and stuff.

When we have done that, it was about 11, going to be 12. We then went to queue up for the books and P.E. attire. As the queue is just side to side, we decided to save time. I queue for my P.E. attire while my father will get the books and stuff done.

When my father have bought all the books, i am still queueing. Gosh. Its a long queue. But I think I know what is the reason for the efficiency for the bookstore. They have already packed everything(maths, science, geography, hmt, blah) into a packet. It's like a set. Usually people will buy the set. So all they have to do is to give the set to them. And that's all. The set cost around 120+.

As for the stationaries, like the foolscap and report book and stuff, they are also available at the bookshop. Btw, the bookshop is Popular, like CCHMS. One thing I would like to talk about the stationaries is that: Why the report books are so so so BIG, when CKPS is sososo small? Even my parents were shocked. We thought it was a file. SO BIG. My mum said one of the senior said the report books from good schools are like that. O.O

Next, my P.E. attire. Blahblah. (Skip it. Its nothing much.) Everything was done at around 1+. Woah. Oh yes. There were some stall from popular selling assessment books and school bags. Didn't bought the assessments but a bag from there. It's red. -.- same as the old one. No choice. It's the nicest colour for that design. Other design not that nice. No choice lah. Stick to red. Anyway, it kind of matches me.. Somehow.. O.O

RARH! Screw the bookshop. In that set, there is one geography book missing. Need go back to school to ask for that 1 book. Waste of time and energy. Luckily I checked that night. If not, when school reopen, can't claim that book...

I am fretting about what CCAs should I take in DHS. CO is a must. But I am afraid I couldn't enter. As in, there will be a limit to the amount of people joining a certain CCA. They give the priority to students who DSA-ed, then to the rest of the students. So, I am afraid the list is full, and I can only join other CCAs.

So peoples, any recommendations? I seriously don't know what to join.

I have a good news: MingShun a.k.a Josiah is going to DHS!!! :D At least I've got someone I know there. (:

Ok. I suppose that's all. Once again, a Merry Merry Christmas. And a Happy New Year! :)
